Mounting Amp

Mounting Amp

I have an amp/sub combo that has mounting brackets and i would like to mount it in the middle under my back seat (supercrew). i measured and it fits. can i just drill through the floor?

if u want to mount it under the back seat u can get away with just gettin some 3/4", 1" screws and screwing on top of the carpet, the carpet and carpet padding will actually hold the amp enough so it won't be moving around much. U could also mount them against the wall behind the backseat. if you search there are lost of people that have dones it this way

Look three times. Drill once. As long as you arent hitting anything it is all good.

x a billion.

Not a bad idea to put some silicone or undercoating or the like on the bottom side from under the truck...because if you drill a screw through and just leave it, you WILL get water in there.


If you didnt want to drill through the floor Im sure there would be a way to mount a piece of MDF or something to the center bracket for the seat then mount the amp to that too.

Whatever works for you.
