Blaupunkt THb 200A subwoofer
Blaupunkt THb 200A subwoofer
Has anyone seen/installed a Blaupunkt THb 200A. The website (Cruchtfield) is http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...t&i=023THB200A.
I have a 2004 f150 supercrew with the stock stereo (which I would like to keep) and have upgraded all of the speakers with Infinity components in the front and Infinity 2-ways in the rear. The system sounds pretty good as is, at least for my expectations. I would just like to add a little low end and not take up to much space or spend a lot of money.
The Blaupunkt THb 200A, based on measurements, seems like it should fit in the middle portion under the back seat if i take out the jack.
Just wondering if anyone had experience with this. The 3 reviews are positive, but none are from an install in an f150.
Any comments appreciated.

do you already have the audiophile subwoofer? if so, then that thing wont be an upgrade really. You might not hear that as much as you would want over components and aftermarket speakers.
I would look at getting at least a 10" subwoofer with a separate amplifier. It will really add a lot to your system. See my gallery for an idea of the type of setup im talking about (single 10" woofer and single amplifier)

Wow! That little guy is small. I thought you were going kookoo when you said it would fit under the back seat in the middle. I was like, you can barely fit an amp under there. I just looked at the link and it is smaller than an amp.
Probably not going to sound too good, just going by looks though. If you end up getting it, let us know what you think. There is always guys on here that just want a little bit more than stock and dont want to completely re-work there setup.
good luck either way,

i do not have the stock subwoofer. the replacement speakers i have put in are an excellent setup and are relatively inexpensive- i recommend them highly. they are just lakcing a little low end.
it is a pretty small sub and amp combo, but i think it will fill the void in my stereo and not take up much room and is it at the right price for me. as noted, all of the reviews (only 3) are positive.
another reason i am interested in this model is that it is supposed to easy to intall. the question i have is how do you hook up the speaker wire? run it to the wire harness at the head unit? if any one has done this, please let me know if this is difficult. i have never installed an amp, but i have switched out head units and installed my current speakers.

i just had this installed yesterday. it way exceeded my expectations. it is pretty small and mounted perfectly in the middle under my back seat ( i have a 2004 supercrew).
the sound is perfect for my setup. i have the stock headunit with a 6 cd changer. i upgraded my other speakers with infinity compontents in the front and infinity two-ways in the the back and i also have sirius radio. i dont have an amp to power my speakers - other than the headunit.
the bass is strong but it doesnt overpower the rest of the speakers. it mixes perfectly. it doesnt rattle the windows but you can feel it. i had a shop run the wires and the installer even commented how suprised he was it put out that much sound and he was skeptically when i brought it in.
the only problem i had with it is the wires in the wiring harness are pretty low gauge and not long enough for a supercrew. the installer had to extend the length of the wires. but they seem to work fine.
i recommend it to anyone that wants to add a good mix of bass to their stock system and not mess with the cost or a bulkly box and amp. it definitely sounds much better than the stock audiophile system.
