We need more info...

what subwoofer are you currently running?
What kind of power does your amp put out and at what impedance? (ohms) What kind of box? (ported or sealed) and How much airspace?
How much is the mounting depth?

I'm currently using a JL Audio 12w3v2. My amp is a JL Audio A6450, 150 watts@ 4ohms. Sealed box with vol. of 1.25 cuft. The box is 24x14x10. So I have a mounting depth of 10".

Get yourself a 1000watt mono amp and a 12" Fi Audio Q subwoofer. You will be blown away.

If your wanting louder, your not going to get loud off 150 watts no matter what speaker your running...

Cheapest option if your wanting louder would be to:

A. Build a good ported box and see how that works out
or
B. Get a bigger amp (350-400wrms or so) If you wanna be loud you need power.

or do both.

Or if you dont think either one or both will work for you, sell the sub and the amp and start over with a bigger amp and a different sub.
