relocation of jack for sub box

so what are your options for relocating the jack? the only idea i can think of is putting it in your tool box (if you have one in the back of your truck).

people who have moved it already, where have you moved it to?

or any good ideas for a new location?

just did this yeterday, wrap the jack in a towel or something soft and then go to ur spare tire and turn it over so that u can put the jack inside the spare wheel well and raise it back up. then u just find a small area to put the wrench and extensions. reason for the towel is so that the jack isnt banging around the tire making noise. drove it around yesterday and today and hasn't fallen out yet

yea that would be kind of a problem. when you remove the jack u can also take out the mounting plate for it, there's 2 10mm bolts holding it, u could try finding somewhere on the frame or even in the engine bay maybe and bolt the brack in there. haven't looked into this option but on my previous truck i relocated it to the back and bolted the jack mount to the frame.

I just did this yesterday too Good fix
I stuck the tools in the little bit of space I have left behind my sub box where I have to flip the bench up to get to them.

thats a pretty good idea except living in canada you would probably end up with rust from a wet towel sitting on the metal, with all the rain/snow we get here.
