How long does it take

to put new speakers ina the front doors of an F-150? I just received Pioneer 4-ways for my birthday and I am trying to figure out how long it will take. How difficult is it?. Crutchfield did send me the instructions...

Have you ever had the door panels off before? If not it will take you a little while to get them off, but actually swapping out the speaker will take 2 minutes. Im assuming you have the little harnesses that plug into your stock speaker harness.
I could have a coaxial speaker swapped in for a new one in 5 minutes if I just had to plug in one of those harnesses from Crutchfield, but Ive had the door panels off my old truck so many times I could do it in my sleep probably.

If its your first time, and you have never had the door panels off, give youself at least an hour so you can take it slow and make sure your doing it all right and not breaking anything.

Thanks, guys. I have the speakers and the harnesses and I will probably work on them tomorrow afternoon after school.

I have pioneer 4-ways in all 4 corners of the truck and sounds great and the bass doesnt sound to bad, although it sounds a whole lot better when you run an amp to the speakers, filter out the lows and have a nice sub setup(my old setup doesnt fit in the new truck )
but with the just teh 4-ways it sounds pretty good to me, and im gonna pass on the subs in this truck(i guess im gonna have to try to sell them)
the 4-ways are also running off a pioneed H/U

Really easy, just remember to pull the door panel UP once you have it loose, not OUT or you will break the plastic clips that hold the panel to the door

Thanks, Guys!

With the pics and the advice, took less than 45 minutes. The longest part was going back to Bestbuy with the harnesses---they sold me the wrong ones. Sounds great---I appreciate you help and advice!
