Factory Sub & Aftermarket Head Units

Is there any way to make the factory sub work with after market head units?

I would love to have bass back in my stereo w/o spending several hundred dollars (saving for an intake/tune) for an aftermarket sub/enclosure/amp/wires/etc, as I already have the factory sub there.

I tried a few searches and didn't see a concrete answer, had a long day at work so if I looked over something please steer me in the right direction!

Thanks!

yes, when you buy the wiring harness, it should come with another small harness that the stock sub hooks into, and it converts it into RCAs which hook to the back of your aftermarket HU.

Yes you just need to scorese plug kit (go to crutchfield.com and specify factory sub) and you wire the amp turn on wire from your head unit into the scorese plug (there are two blue w/ white wires but only one goes to the amp turn on wire in the factory plug~ to figure out which one just look at the factory plug as only one of the blue/white wires has a correspond wire in the factory plug). Also, make sure to solder in a resistor in the amp turn on wire otherwise you will have a "thump" when the amp turns on.
