more bass

Right now i have one 10" sub..it hits pretty good but i want more
Question 1-The box i have was made specifically for a 10..i know a 12 will fit depth wise but idk if theres enough room width wise..is there any way to make it work?
Q 2- What else could i do to get a little more bass with out a sub?
thanks

How wide is the box?? I usually like to have my box about 2 inches wider than my sub diameter at a minimum (14 inches for a 12, 12 inches for a 10, etc).

Have you considered making a ported box possibly?

Where exactly is your box? Turn up your settings on the headunit, if you already did that next thing I would do is turn your 'gain' up on the amp.

only way to get more bass is more cone area, more power, or more efficient substage

Bartak and styx are right on...

You can only push that setup so far.

The only way to increase your bass is to either get another sub or to upgrade your amp or get a better sub. In primitive terms...

If you put your amp/amps on the back wall, you could get a 2x10 setup to increase your response.

but in answer to your original q's...
1 - We would have to know the dimensions of your current box.
2 - Dont just simply turn up the gain or headunit settings or bass boost on amp. There is such thing as tuning, and it doesnt mean cranking everything up.

Good luck!

I got a quick question for ya what amp and sub do you currently have. How did you set the amp by ear or with a dmm and test tones.
Sorry that's two but anyway.
