Right System

I have a 05 supercrew, I listen to rap and I need a system. I want a system that thumps. I am thinking 2 JL Audio 10w3's because I want them under the seat. With a JL Audio 500/1 amp. How hard is it to install? And how much will I expect to pay? Where is the best place to get these from? I don't know anything about audio so can you help me out? Thanks

Do you care if it has a warrenty or not. If not look at woofersetc.com or ebay. If you want a warrenty then you have to find a dealer for now. I have seen on other boards that they were going on Crutchfield soon but I haven't seen them threr yet.

Well I was quoted 400 dollars for a pair of JL 10W3V3s from a local shop
If you dont care about a warrantee Im sure you can get them a lot cheaper, not sure what a 500/1 goes for at all.

If you have some basic electrical skills and maybe some fabbing skills to mount stuff, its fairly easy. We can always help you along they way if need be. Its worth a shot to install if yourself because prices to install audio stuff is friggin rediculous.
If worse comes to worste and you cant do it yourself, you can always take to a shop.

install it yourself! it looks daunting at first and your first time will always take a while, but you learn a lot, you'll feel proud about it, and you'll quickly get good at it.

now im pretty good at installing audio equipment and kids in my area always come to me asking to install their chit since other's prices are so high.
