2006 Screw Front Speaker/Component Question

I am getting ready to replace my factory speakers on my 2006 KR Screw with audiophile. Also replacing the factory sub-woofer. I want to add component speakers in the front. The Crutchfield car guide tells me these are 6"x8", but I don't think there are any 6X8 component speakers. What size components do I use? Thanks!

6.5" would be best, but you'll need to make an MDF adapter plate and possibly trim the door panel somewhat. if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, a good set of 5.25" (5 1/4") components will work with a readily available adapter plate from crutchfield.

good coaxials do sound good i had a set of 4 way rockfords at one point, but round components have much better SQ properties than oval speakers do.

There ARE a couple 5x7/6x8 component sets out there...nothing to great though. Alpine Type R, Infinity, Kicker maybe, and Polk are the ones that I can think of now, Im sure there are a lot more.

As mentioned though, with a little work a 6.5 inch mid can fit in there, or else a 5.25 inch mid will work with even less work.
