I was wondering about putting 6.5's in the doors of my 04 screw,

I realize that it would need some type of adapter plate, but they seem to be less expensive than the 5x7's and I've heard in the past that they have better sound quality .

would any trimming be required? would 5 1/4's be easier to install and still have good sound? thanks in advance

 

6.5" can fit pretty easy. You do need an adapter plate and may or may not have to trim some of the plastic door panel. It is not a bad install at all.
