sub fitment question

sub fitment question

Hey all, i have the JL Stealthbox in my 04 lariat screw right now... i was wondering if anyone has fit 2 JL 8W7's under their rear seat? I love the stealthbox quality and sound just kinda want a little more bump... thanks!

JL website says the 8dub7s mounting depth is 6.8ish, so your pushing it, but you 'should' be able to make it fit with a 2.5 inch seat lift and a custom box. Read: should.

They would probably fit better front firing...

I know somebody with three 8W7's under the seat of a Explorer Sport Trac. Sounds nuts! I think its very possible. Just depends how good you are at boxes and customizing....

You could do it front firing without a lift but down or up firing and I think you need a lift. 6" is about the max without a lift and I am not sure you can get 6".

I was just wondering... i didn't know if it was possible or not... i think i may try and find a shop thats decent with fiberglass work...
