Quality Components under $150?

I've been looking on ebay and there seems to be a bunch of components for under $150 including shipping. Is it possible to find quality for under $150. I will be sending 100 watts RMS to whatever component set I get, or I could run active with 50 watts to each separate component, but will probably use the passive crossover. If you have any recommendations, please share. I'm open for suggestions. I thought about giving Don a call, but I know I will end up spending more than I want to spend.

My search has returned items such as:
  • POLK AUDIO MMC6500/MMC 6500 6.5" COMPONENT SPKR
  • Diamond Audio D362 6.5" HI END Component set
  • Clarion 6.5" Component Speakers System
  • JBL POWER SERIES P650C 6.5" COMPONENT SPEAKER
  • MB QUART RVF-216 6.5" REFERENCE COMPONENT SPEAKERS
  • DLS R6A 6.5" 2-WAY COMPONENT SPEAKERS REFERENCE
  • ARC AUDIO KAR 265 6.5" COMPONENT SPEAKER SET
  • MA Audio MA629C 240 Watt 6.5”Component Speakers
  • DLS RS6 6.5" 2-WAY COMPONENT SPEAKERS
  • DLS C6 6.5" 2-WAY COMPONENT SPEAKERS
  • SOUNDSTREAM TRC.6N 6½" TARANTULA COMPONENT SPEAKERS

I would still call Don, you never know what he may have for sale used or traded in.....

BTW, Rainbow SLC's would do the job if you could step your budget up some....

I was going to mention also, maybe look at some used stuff.

I bought my Profis used for 280 bucks....

Heck, my whole stereo is pretty much used stuff, otherwise I would be running cheap crap if I bought it all new

BestNTx,

That was same question in an earlier post. I have fosgate 5x7s but wanted to upgrade to better quality, not that the fosgates are bad, just wanted more sound.

As I stated before, if anyone can suggest a good set, it would really help in the decision making.

By the way who is Don??? I'm kind of new to posting and asking questions on the forum. Never had much time. Too much work and not enough down time.

Thanks again guys.

I think Don is the guy thats on an F150 forum and still drives a G35.

As to the topic at hand .. as I stated in your email ... the SLCs will please both your ears and pockets for years to come. Looking at the majority of your listing, I see an 'upgrade' from some of those in the near future ultimately resulting in larger expenditures.

Yea I bet that thing sounds amazing, I liked my infinity perfect 12.1's, but I think I'm going to love these TC1000's. I wanted 2 SI BM 12's but thats a lot of dough. I got both of these 12's to my front door for $338
