07 speaker and sub advice

Getting my wish list together and need some input:

Can 6.5's fit in the doors with adapter plates or do I need to drop to 5.25?

Does anyone make a dash kit for a din that a EQ can easily be added to?

A couple of shops suggested 2 8" ported under the back seat as instead of 2 sealed 10"s?

6.5 will fit in your door but you are going to have to do a lot of cutting on the door panels. then yo u will have to make a plate for the 6.5 to fit in. i havent done it yet but that is what im putting in my 07.

as far as the subs im going with the two tens, but have have them left over from a previous install. i dont know about the kit because i havent even looked for one yet, but in sure someone make a din eq kit.

ok, i dont think your going to have the space to really get the most from a ported box, i think you will be much better off with a pair of 10 inch subs over the 8s. the ported box is going to call for a lot of design and work to construct with little or no benefit over the dual 10 sealed box. the 6.5 inch speakers will fit in the doors with adaptor plates that are pretty simple to make and install. And any of the basic 1.5 din kits with the pocket above the radio can be made to fit. Flip the kit so that the pocket is below the radio, then cut the pocket out and use some small aluminum strips to attach the EQ to the headunit, there will small bolt holes in the sides of both the headunit and the EQ that will easily allow you to attach the two together, just make sure and use some flexible aluminum thats thick enough to actually hold under all the bumps and jarrs that bumps in the road cause. Its really simple, just lay out the headunit and eq and kit in front of you and you will see how easily it fits together. I will try and dig up a pic of mine from when i installed everything. I think i have a pic that shows the side of the two units when they are installed in the dash kit and attached to each other

The subs I'm looking to go with are MA Audio HK80XC. Specs call for .5 sealed and .75 ported for optinum sound. The under the seat boxes I've seen claim to have .65 air space. Thought I could port the box and use some polyfill.

the problem isnt so much the airspace with the ported, its the physical space to fit the port design, underseat boxes are designed for maximum space usage in but minimum space taken up from passenger area. You dont just buy a sealed box and port it, very poor way of going about getting ported enclosure. To build a ported box, start from scratch so its built right, cant skimp on airspace and use polyfill like you do in a sealed box.
