Help..speakers?

Hey guys... within the last two days my system has really been disapointing. I'll be crusing when all of a sudden my sound stops...the radio and cd both say its still playing but theres no sound. I didnt think much of it but then about 10 minutes later it comes back on?? Whats wrong...is it the connection to my speakers or what? I didnt do the install so im not sure?

I have done a ton of installs and this has to be a bad connection. Or it's possible, depending on what amp you have, that your amp is getting hot and shutting off till it cools down. I'm not aware of the newer amps doing this but maybe if it's a old amp or a less quality amp this could happen. Even if it's a old amp it shouldn't get too hot unless you are really working it hard for a extendend period of time.

Like he said, you most likely either have a bad connection or are going into protect.

Next time it happens jump out and look at the amp...see if it is still on, or if the protection light is on.
