to anyone who has removed backseat in 04f150

ok so im putting a washer lift under my rear seat, but i cant get those big bolts loose (the ones that connect the bottom seat under-frame thing to the chassy inside). anyone who has taken this thing out before, how did you do it?

You have to get a special piece for the ratchet that swivels and goes at angles...not sure what they are called (my neighbor let me borrow his).

Why not ask Mike "FX4ME2" about the Washers and where he put them as I don't think he put any on the rear bolts, just the front ones.....

The back bolts are 18mm, you best have 1/2" drive hardware, 3/8 drive isn't going to do it... and put @ss on it.... they have a lot of blue thread lock compound from Ford

thanks for the quick reply guys. ya i saw his gallery, im only gonna put them under the front bolts too i just cannot get them loose. i dont have enough posts to PM him either...

I just did this yesterday on my 04. I got the 3/8 to 1/2 inch adapter and used my torque wrench to break them free...then impact gun for the rest of the work!

ok thanks ill try that and see if i can get it. i havent touched these bolts since getting my truck (4 years ago) so they are in there pretty good.
