Polk Momo

I just purchased these 2 tweeters and 4 6X8s for my 05 SCREW. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what wattage to run these with or will my head unit run these fine?

Thanks
David

I know they will handel 10-80W a piece. So I assume it would be safe to run 70-75W to each. Does anyone have expierence will Alpine amps? Im thinking of running a Alpine MRP-F250 to them. Its says it will push 4x75W but I know that it will more than likely push 70X4 or less. Any suggestions?

Thanks
David

I thought the mrp-f250 was only 40x4.

I have been running MOMOs exclusively in my vehicles for 2 years- 3 different installs. I can tell you one thing for absolute sure- they NEED and LOVE power. In my F150 I have a JL 450/4 that pushes 150RMS to each front, and 75 RMS to my rears (each). In my Ranger I had a JL 300/4 and I electronically bi-amped a single set of MOMOs and ran 75 to each tweeter, and each woofer. Pushed the living crap out of them for two years while competing with 3 JL 12w6v2s and they never had a problem.

If you run them on a deck they will sound like complete crap. Give them RMS and then some. Alpine amps are usually a bit stingy on power, so you may want to consider other options.

Were yours 4ohms? If so how was your amp pushing so much at 4 ohms? Im looking at a 600W 4 ch Sony that at 4ohmsx4 channels, its only pushing 60 per channel. JL amps are a little out of my price range for this. Any other recommendations?

Thanks
David

Sony amps are overated for power. like you said a 600watt amp only puts 60rms watts per channel. I used kicker 350.4 and it puts 60rms watts to each channel at 4ohms. It powers my kicker 6x8's just fine.
