alpine type r

alpine type r

ya im looking to put alpine type r 15"s in my other car, do they sound good and how big of a amp will i need to push 2 of them?

Do they sound good? What do you call sound good? Since your going with 2 15's sounds like your more concerned with getting loud than ACTUAL sound quality.

They sound decent...not good IMO-Im very picky about the way my stereo sounds though.
They are a nice, cheaper priced sub that will get loud and do decent in the SQ department.
I suggest you actually try to listen to one before you go dumping cash into something you have no idea on the outcome. There are quite a few audio shops that carry Alpine, shouldnt be to hard to get a listen at one.


As for an amp...something in the 1200-1600 watt range, at either 1 or 2 ohm, depending on what coil configuration you get on the subs.

SQ? No DB? Yes had 2 12s in my maxima 1001bd at 1 ohm and they pounded. Great sub for the money I had RF P3 before and burnt 2 sets up put in the type R;;s and never had another problem
