Question Factory Sub Question

I just purchased a used factory sub for my 2006 XLT SCrew, however it didn't come with a wiring harness. Also, the truck has the 6 disk CD player/SIRIUS player. Does anyone know how to hook it up?

Thx,
Jay

Lightbulb I can help....

I just went down this same road. Did you check under the rear seat for the connection to the sub box? There is a slit in the carpet.
Before you do anything...do this.
Check and see if you have 3 ports on the back of your radio. Two should already be in use. If it only has two ports you don't have the correct radio.
The third is for the sub connection. This where I made my mistake. All radios, even though thet say MP3 on the front are not the same. You need the Audiophile radio (if you have only 2 ports). Here is the link that was the thread that I started on this very topic. Good luck!

Another question...

I just read the thread you supplied. Did you ever complete the project or ditch the factory sub idea? After reading about the energy you spent on this project, I'm having serious second thoughts. Oh well, I'll give it a try because I unfortunately purchased the sub.

Unhappy Sorry to say...

I ditched it. I had the correct cable under the seat, just not from the junction box to radio. I didn't see any point in having to run that cable in addition to trying to find the Audiophile radio too. A local sound shop had a box that fit under my seat. I bought their box and a Memphis 10".
I already had a PPI amp so I was in good shape power wise.
I have it hooked in with my factory radio and I am very satisfied with the results.

How did you hook the sub into the stock radio?
