Try powering a single voice coil. Also are you absolutley sure the amp is working properly? If the amp is fine go over to their website and contact SI. You might of just got a bad sub, it happens sometimes you know.
From looking up that amp, the 700w is just beyond the RMS ratings of that sub's 600w.

Exactley what you need to do.
There is no reason it should have any thermal damage, unless you were clipping it pretty bad...
Like Impact said, could just be a mechanical flaw from the factory or something.

Checked the VC's both are reading a touch under 4ohms so everything seems to be in good order.
One thing I did notice was the amp starting in protection, than switching over to normal power after a few seconds. Any ideas on why it would do that? I believe the Mag is still in good working order.
Any tests I can run on the amp itself?

Do you have any test tones? If so, play them though the stereo with the volt meter on the amps outputs...sub unhooked and DMM set on AC voltage.
You should get a reading...if not then its either the amp or the HU.
Next Id run a test tone through the CD player with the volume fairly high and see if you are getting any signal at the end of your RCA's with a DMM. That would tell you if its either the amp, or the HU/or RCAs.

Just hooked it up to the DMM, no reading from the amp at all.
Powers up just fine just no reading on both the RCA and speaker out.
Bah humbug? Any next step ideas

*edit* RCA out on HU is fine, as is the cable itself. So it's the speakers outs, what to do from here?

Well then it has to be something internally with the amp (assuming you didnt accidentally change some settings or anything, wouldnt hurt to check them all over).
Pull off the bottom and see if you can find anything wrong with it that maybe you can fix yourself, or send somewhere to get fixed. Or else start looking for a new amp...

On the side note I was calling around for repairs and found an arc audio dealer here in riverside. Audio Shoppe if any of you are familiar with them. And apparently I'm right next door to Image dynamics!

They carry IDQ10's if you guys need them!
