new amp for subs
alright.. i have a 98 f150. and i recently purchased a probox for one 10" sub and i bought a pioneer shallow mount sub..i have a sony xplod amp right now.which i know is very cheap. but anyways i want to buy a box and seat lift and get two 10's under the seat and i was thinking about staying with the thin subs? what would u think.. and what amp would u prefer i get if i got two 10's. i want some loud bass. because right now my box is cracked and it sucks.plz help
take a look at onlinecarstereo.com you'll want a amp that can do about 500w RMS at either 2 ohms.
This looks pretty good:

I wouldn't think you'd need a seat lift if your getting shallow subs. A lot of people like those pioneer subs, but I haven't heard them. Might check the forums at caraudio.com and realmofexursion.com

alright thanx but i can find a box that is made for that because under the rear seats there is a bar that goes from the bottom of the seat to the floor and another question is where would i put the amp.? cus the seats dont fold down.?
ps. do u have any clue as to why my sub would be a lot louder with the windows down than when they are up?

yeah but i was just makin a point that either way i still have to lift the seat if i want 2 10's because theres no box to fit 2 10's with out the lift..i have no problem lifting the seat.i was just wondering.is it an easy thing to do?
you don't have to lift the seat for 2 10's. supercrewsound.com and music moose both make boxes that fit behind your factory height seats.
i assume you have a regular cab truck:

there's a $15 charge for the seat lift that you have to select at the bottom of the page.
