Proposed install

I have an '06 250 and am looking to upgrade the stock receiver and add-on XM (can't stand the FM transmitter reception). I don't need anything superloud or incredibly high-end (too many hunting trips have taken their toll). Looking for a nice head unit with XM, HD & iPod flexibility. After reading lots of posts, here's what I'm thinking about. Would appreciate any and all input regarding selection and whether I really needs amps/eq/crossovers etc. I like to try the install myself and am reasonably handy, but am a car audio rookie:
Alpine iDA-X001
HD radio tuner
XM radio tuner
PAC remote interface
Polk db 5250 components(too complicated?...other options?)
Many thanks for your expertise and input!!

I just put a JVC KD-HDR1 into my F150 and am very pleased. It has the HD tuner already built-in and it's satellite and iPod compatible. It lacks a little in the display, but sounds excellent. You can buy one from Crutchfield now, WITH a factory wiring harness adapter, dash install kit, and complete set of install instructions for $160 shipped (after a $40 rebate). It's a deal and a half, and HD sounds GREAT.
