this is the amp i would like to push them with, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...cs+ZX8000.html i understand that amp only puts out 300 watts rms at 2 ohms and some of those subs have a higher rating than that, ive been doin a little readin and i came across some stuff about clipping where if i turn up the volume to loud and the amp will clip the signal since it cant give the sub all the power it needs and this could damage the sub, is this correct. if any one has any other affordable options for amps that could push the full rms wattage these subs need please let me know. i would rather run just one amp but two wouldnt be a problem. thanks, scott oh btw if anyone could direct me in the way of some good readin on some subs and amps and how it works type stuff with ohms and all that it would be great, thanks

Out of those I would probably get the Hifonics setup.

Yes clipping can damage a speaker but if you setup the headunit and amp right you can learn to get max volume safely.

This would be a great match for that HiFonics sub:

this is what i was lookin at for a 4 channel amp to push the speakers i picked out, there both hifonics, 5.25 components for the front with a 90w rms and 6x8s in the back with a 85w rms, the amp will only push 55 watts rms will i have a to worry about clipping the signal with that amp, or is there ways around that. cuz if my deck right now pushes like 20 watts rms and its loud 55 watts will be plenty loud and clear for me. thanks guys you all really seem to know your stuff and impact your truck is sweet inside and out, time for me to go read now,
Scott

pg 58 on that site is my most common FAQ posted website. Gives a good explanation of how to hook up various speaker configurations
