your first question should be:

"where am I gonna put these"

they wont fit under the stock rear seat without modification

Those look crazy deep. I don't think they would even fit under my lifted seat!

Anyways ...

If you was to get those you'd want a good solid 2000w RMS amp like a US AMPS AX-3000DE

I dont want to be a **** but people come on here all the time I want to do this or that with ideas that are crazy. Did you even measure how much space you have to work with? The only way to fit those would be with some major mods ie seat/box combo and then you run into head room. With my seatlift alone I feel like there isnt any headroom back there and I am not that tall. Also with a sub system like that why would you want to run it off the stock HU that has no sound shaping ability. You would have to run a speaker level to RCA adapter which always adds "noise" to the system and work like crap. Yes it can be done but the question is why, when you will have such a nice sub system.

Amp

Also, the amp answer usually depends on how much you want to spend and whether you are into SQ or SPL. I assume given your choice of these you want SPL, so how much do you want to spend on an Amp?

Honestly to do a Type X 12 or any sub in that range, you will probably end up needing to do a center console box, which supercrewsound sells. It will only work with certain front seat configurations so make sure and tell them what you have. They can pull 9" of mounting depth out of the box, and it is for one 10" or 12" sub. One Type X ran off either an Alpine MRD-M1005 or an Alpine PDX-1.1000 will sound just fine and give you quite a bit of bass. The under the seat idea is probably not going to work... those subs really are pretty deep. I wanted to do 2 Type R 10" subs and even that would be a stretch... the Type Xs are even about 2" deeper! I mean anything can be done, so if you for sure want to do 2 of them and put them under the seat, best of luck. But the more practical thing to do would be to do 1 in the center console box and see how that sounds... you can always take it out and buy a second sub and start over. Here's the box I'm talking about:

I don't know what year or anything your truck is... this is for '04+ SCrew. Just to give you an idea of what the box looks like though.

Youd probably have to do a box like Bryan did for his two Dub7s.

Search for brypink2's gallery and check out his 10W7 box.
