Want to replace factory speakers!

Need your help. I have a 2006 FX4 extended cab and am looking to replace all the factory speakers. I am not trying to get crazy with sub and amps, just want the best quality speakers I can get. Keeping mind that I will be using the factor CD Player/radio, money is not an issue and I would like as much bass as possible. What are your recommendations for the best replacement speakers available. Thanks

From my experience just changing the factory speakers won't really make any descent improvement. Well at least not enough for me.

I think your best bet would be to look for a factory sub to accompany your factory speakers. Search around here I'm sure someone can tell you if there's a cheap online dealer.

Actually if your lucky and quick

Gotta agree

Gotta agree with Impact. If all you want to do is change out the factory speakers. Don't.

These OEM's aren't too bad. Just add the factory sub using the sub harness and the factory tweets.

I've got an 05 scab, is there a sub harness to just plug and play a factory powered sub? If so where is it and where can I get a factory sub?

There are better(more expensive) speakers out there, but I've been very happy with the new Alpine Type R 5x7s. They need an amp though to get any good sound out of them though. Once given decent power, they'll give you much more bass than factory. I also have some dynamat around them which will improve bass from any speaker.

I replaced my factory speakers with the Infinity's. There is not a huge improvement as far as bass is concerned but there is a great improvement when you "krank it".. You don't get that buzz noise anymore.

I suggest replacing the speakers and getting a after market deck. This will provide more power to push the speakers.

There are only a few manufacturers that make that size speaker. The Infiniy's are the best by far.. And only a few bucks more that the rest.

Cheers
