Rear door speakers in a scab...

Hey does anyone know if you have to take the rear door panels off to get to the rear speakers on a 05 scab? I would like to replace those speakes, but dont really want to take off the door panels.

Thanks,
Ghost

yes you do have to take off the whole skin to get to the speaker however, it is a waste of money to buy new rear speakers, in fact it would be better to just disconnect them

I disagree. I originally disconnected my rear speakers. I put a 6.5 component system in the front doors with some mods (MDF, Rhinoliner, etc) and thought that would be okay. However, after I finished this install, I decided to try some midbass drivers in the rear doors. Awesome. Filled in a nice gap between my 8" L7 in the console and the components in the doors. Anyway, just my opinion.

most people arn't going to run dedicated middbass in the rear doors that are properly crossed over, besides the front stage should be able to handle the midbass by itself. if not then it might be time to look at new mid-woofers

Question Tweeters in the rear door?

Has anyone installed a set of tweeters in the rear door or somewhere in the back half of the cab?
If so could you show them?
THanks
