Help me choose which equipment to go with

Hey everybody im new here, I dont really post ever, just kinda search and read other previosly asked questions, but could really use some advice.

Im tired of the stock stereo in my 99 scab, and need to Upgrade. I have an Alpine CDA 8951 HU, and stock everything else. Im not looking to do anything crazy as far as SPL, but I realy want good SQ. preferably a nice full warm sound, nothing to tinty or bright. I had a set of eclipse components in an old car and they where way to harsh for my taste.

For door speakers i was thinking of going with rainbow SLC265 but was unsure wether or not to go with the Zapco 1-2100 or with a US amp XT800.4. Premier audio.com doesnt list a RMS watage for the rainbows so im kinda taking a gues there. but which of the two amps would be better suited for those comps. Also what other suggestions for a Comps would u suggest. Bostom a coustics? CDT? image dynamics? theres so many

As far as bottom end i was thinking of puting either 8's or 10's, and either buying a custom box or building my own. But what some other good 10's or 8's that u guys would recomend? I would preffer to go with 8's but a 10 wit ha shalow enough mount would be fine. theres sever brands such as memphis? polk? rockford? kicker? cdt? jl?. and im not sure which way to go.

tough call on the amps. I would probably get US Amps XT800.2. Subs- Stereo Integrity BM10 I have one and it really rocks. Plenty shallow to fit under a stock seat and it comes close to what alot of 12's sound like. I've had polk MOMO 10's and it was a bit tight for my taste. Far as components Rainbow seems to be the favorite around here. I have polk's but they tend to be a bit too bright and take some tweaking to level off.

Hopefully someone will chime in soon with suggestions.

u know something i forgot to mention early, i currently have a Alpine multi channel Amp which i can bridge to 100w RMS x 2. Do u think the sound quality between the Zapco or US amps compared to the Alpine would be majorly noticible? Im trying to save money wherever possible.

Depends on what model alpine you have and what class it is. Thing is, if your thinking of Rainbows you might as well get a good amp to push them. Kinda like buying a Porsche and putting a Kia engine in it.

yea i know what u mean. but alpine isnt as horrible as some other brands its an Alpine MRPF240 4 Ch 360 Watt Amp. Also while im thinking about it? curently in the rear doors i have the old eclipse 6'9's (coaxial) if im gona go with the rainbows, wouldi want to pull them out of the rear and go with say rainbow coaxials, or juss leave the rear empty and have just a front soundstage. that seems to be an in thing over on car audio forum. becasue i heard it was a bad idea to mix speaker brands.

If you already have the Alpine amp, bridge it and use it on the Rainbow Comps. Most people wouldnt be able to tell a difference it sound quality between a MTX compared to PPI Art series probably.

For the rears, you can leave the Eclipses in if you like the rear fill and like the way they sound, or else ditch them. The thing with rear fill is that it pulls the soundstage to the back, making it seem like the music is coming from behind you. Its really a personal preference type thing unless your competing or something. Personally, I hate rear fill.
Mixing speakers is more of a subwoofer thing. You dont want different subs. There is nothing wrong with running Rainbows for your front stage, and Eclipses for the rears.
