help with tweeter wiring

I pulled out an old set of kicker component 6.1 I and started the install but ran into a problem. The tweeters have no identifying marks on the wire indicating their polarity. The only difference I see in the wires is a small ridge running down the side of one and not the other. Could this indicate the polarity? Can someone please help or check their wires to see if they have this same ridge?

Thanks Impact. I sent an email to kicker tech support and asked them. I'll let you know what they say.

As long as you wire your tweets the same way it's either going to be in phase or 180 out of phase. Depending on your interior prep, one way or the other may work better for the SQ. You might want to try either temporarily and see before final install.

x2

High frequencies are the least susceptible to phase cancellation, so it shouldn't be a big deal either way. Just wire them both identically.

as a sidenote:

Many mfrs and pro-installers will wire the tweets 'out-of-phase' with respect to their full range drivers. JBL, RF...

And if you aren't mounting the tweeters on the same plane, it won't matter either way.
