Cool Fiberglass Box

Anyone tried this yet? Thinking about doing this, but with 2 10" jl 10w3's. Any pointers?

Can the seats go down or do they have to stay in the up position???

They will fold down. At least I hope they do. Mounting depth for the Jl is 5 7/8". I'm hoping that I won't be the 1st one to atempt this.

Whew... That is HOT.... Im thinking a better color for paint is in order though one that matches the interior. The crossovers in the seat is the stuff I like to see. Things you know youll have to tweak and its right there hidin but out of the way.

Thinking that myself. X-overs would be a nice touch..

iv taken a mold and am putting 2 12" subs under the seat, if only i hve more time to start on the fiberglass

What subs are you going to use? What type of resin are you going to use? Are you going full fiberglass, or partial with MDF?

my 12's are 5 3/4" and BARELY fit.

you are using MDF arn't ya? This will be fiberglass, so that will give me another 1 1/4" to work with.

true. But is fiberglass as strong

I have a fiberglass box with 2 12 FI SSD's. I havent had time to paint it yet, but we put carpet over it temporarily. Ill post some pics in a min

If done properly, yes. Many, many layers of mat, and alot of filler. I've seen some you could jump on!
