I installed Valor DTS-660 multimedia unit in my 07 Screw which has the factory audiophile system in it, I bought the wiring harnesses from Crutchfield and installed it, everything worked fine, except that when I turn on the vehicle or switch from the Radio to The DVD the subwoofer or Amplfier pops really loud. I called Crutchfield and they told me I needed to install a Regulator between the Blue/White wire because the Amplifier is turning on before the subwoofer or something to that effect. Well I installed the regulator and it still does the same thing. That sound is really annoying and it seems like my amp or subwoofer is going to blow. Has anyone had this problem before when you insatalling an aftermarket head unit and used the factory installed subwoofer and amp? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need a 5 volt resistor. You can pick one up a radio shack or something simular to that store. Make sure it is the correct blue and white wire. I know mine had two. One wire has no power to it while the other one does. Just test it with a test light to make sure.
Cruthfield told me to add a Regulator from Radio Shack part #276-1770, but I might have wired it to the wrong Blue and White wire because like yours mine had two Blue/white wires and I know for sure one was working and I guess I must of hooked up my regulator to the one that had no power, because I thought both of them did, Shoot, I have to double check that because I have the regulator in place already, but the subwoofer is silent. Thank for the info.
