I just had a buddy install one ten and an amp in mine. He ran a power cable and a ground through the firewall, attached them to the battery. The Amp that I have is five channel, so he backed up my door speakers by splicing into the wiring harness for the deck, which is stock. Then he ran thick wires to the sub from the amp. May not be the best response but maybe it will help. Any questions let me know and we will see what we can come up with.

Don't run your ground wire to the neg. side of the batt. You need to find a good chassis ground if not then scrape some paint under the carpet and use a self tapping screw. The other wires you will need are a power coming from the batt w/ an in-line fuse and a source wire coming from a keyed ignition source to turn the amp on when the key is turned on. That wire usually comes from the radio (aftermarket)if factory easy place to find one is the fuse box. Last you will need some RCAs (red/white stereo) if you have an aftermarket radio they should plug right in if you still have factory then go to store and get a pac-converter and splice into your rear speakers behind the radio and run your RCAs from there.

you can hide the wires in the door jam and under the carpet. You can also buy a kit at bestbuy or any audio store that has everything you will need to wire your system.

you will want to get a amp wiring kit that has signal wires to run from your headunit to the amp. It is pretty easy to get the kick panels up and run the wires threw them to the back of the truck. Read your intructions but the ground wire needs to be pretty close to the amp to be effective and be sure to use and good grounding bolt. JL makes a good kit with a really nice grounding bolt. I have a kicker 8ga. kit, it came w/everything that I needed for the install like zipties, the maxi fuse, wire ends, a little ring that pops in the firewall hole that you will drill to protect the wire and seal, signal wire for the amp. If you are going to be using a capacitor you will need anouther ground. I would run 4ga. wire for your set up even 2ga if you want it cant hurt but the 4ga will be easier to work with and the 2ga maynot fit in the amp?
