I'm interested in upgrading my sound system in my '04 SCrew. I have the 6 CD (not audiophile) changer head unit and DID find the wire harness/connector for the subwoofer under the carpet behind the driver's rear seat.

What would be the simplest install to get a subwoofer and amp, and also possibly upgrade the door speakers as well? Is there a factory unit that "plugs" in?

Did you say that you do have the harness under the seat, but dont have the audiophile head unit? I think it will still work, the main thing is the harness. If you check on ebay you will find guys selling there audiophile 8 inch sub setups for cheap. They are nice but most of the guys have gone aftermarket.
