Installation costs!

Hey guys..well im going to be ordering the dual 10 sub box off ebay. Other than that i think im going to get my component speakers, rear fill, amps, subs from the shop. How much should i look to spend extra for the install? Is it cheaper to do yourself or not worth the hassel if you unexperienced? thanks

Devin4X4,
I would say allow the local shop to do your install, especially if you have no experience. One wrong move and a lot can be screwed up. Of course it's more satisfying to install you own stuuf, in my opinion.

That said, installation costs usually vary from shop to shop and can also depend on what you buy from them. Normally, if you arrive at a shop with all your gear in hand, they will charge more to install. However, if you intend to buy several items, then ask for a deal to install. It sounds like you are going to buy a lot of gear, but on the flip side, understand that what you want will take some time to install. I would figure a couple of C notes, if not more. But get a quality job. Shop around if you can.

Good luck!
