I went to my local audio shop and asked opinions about what the best shallow sub is. Because A punch p3 would not fit in my box.

He said the new p3 shallows suck, he said there worse than the p2 regular size ones.

We fit an OZ audio sub, JL audio w1 sub, and a Dimond audio d1 sub. He said the best sub for the p5002 amp I have is the dimond audio. He likes dimond audio better than JL audio. I was going to get that.

But I read forums here that I can fit a solo baric kicker l5 or l7 8 inch square sub in the round 10 inch hole. I am going to the audio shop today to try out some more subs to fit in my box

I'll letn you know if the kicker l5 or l7 8 inch fits, if it does I will get it an reccomend getting it to if you have a shallow box also, because kicker has some of the best subs in the world in my opinion. Hope this helps.

and also.. when buying subs and a box should make sure your box is large enough (cubic feet) that it recommends on the subwoofer or does it not really matter? does this just ensure this size gets the best sound out of the sub??
