That's why I can't get the best stuff out there right now.. And IMHO, I don't see anything wrong with Audiobahn.. Just me though
Then get what you can afford. Good luck!

Don't let the elitests fool you... they all started somewhere.
Shoot, I've had the top o'the line systems too... but I spent a whopping $45 bucks at a Wal-Mart clearance section for my current set-up (of course I built my own box, and the mids & highs were another $40, but you get the idea...).

If you know what you're doing you can achieve quite a good sound for hardly any cheddar... and it may not even sound cheesy.

Just stick with people you know first hand... but always go to "high-end" shops in your area and stand around, when you have the time, and listen & learn.

I learned enough being a "shop rat" to eventually work in one of the elite stores in DFW and become the top salesman in the company for a period of time... and I made that spot by selling lower priced items to people, being honest, and knowing my trade.

You can always replace piece by piece as your system "grows up" along with your experience and knowledge.

If being totally honest, most of the primma donna attitudes had that history as well.

Dude, you can do so so much better for about $300. Buy a prefab truck box on Ebay for like $50 shipped.

Get 2 Arc Audio Subs (very good!) $40 each plus $30 shipping http://cgi.ebay.com/ARC-AUDIO-10-SUB...QQcmdZViewItem

And this Xtant Amp (very very good!) for $99 plus $25 shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/Excellent-Condit...QQcmdZViewItem

So $50 + $110$ + $124= $284 shipped!!! Actually is $60 cheaper than the Audiobahn setup after shipping!!!

If you buy that Audiobahn crap after I gave you this option you and your whole family deserve to be shot multiple times!

Hey thanks man That's exactly what I've been trying to say.. Everyone has to start out somewhere and I'm doing just that.. I've never ran Audiobahn, but I don't see anything wrong with them and like I said one of my friends who's big into audio said Audiobahn's not bad at all.. And you're right, eventually I'll probably wind up building another system peice by peice.. In my truck I didn't wanna go through everything to make an under seat downfire box.. It was just gonna be to much for me.. Thanks for the help man!

Ok, then how do you know they're no good? Have you heard them in person and compared it to your system and said it's crap, or are you just going with everyone else and saying they're crap?

Well thanks for that option, but I bought the system this past Friday.. Never heard of any of those brands you listed, and I've heard of what I've bought.. Plus it's a 1 channel amp so I'd have to buy 2..
Thanks

You could run 100 subs off a 1 channel amp, as long as the impedance come out in a suitable range for the amp to handle...
You are not limited to only one speaker per channel...

You should put your Audiobahn setup back on Ebay, sell it, and go with what I posted. Even though you haven't heard of a company, does not mean it is not better than what you have heard of! And everything I listed would work perfectly for you. Like Bartak1 said, you need to do some research next time before you go blow your cash.

it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that audiobahn is pure bling bling crap, ask anyone serious about car audio, oh ya and no I never owned audiobahn, but I remember a buddy of mine that had 2 15" audiobahn crap woofers, ya they lasted less than 12 hours and sounded like crap the whole time, you need to stop with this whole, "its badazz cuz I herd of it" bull, just cause a company can advertise heavily and make their name known doesn't mean that they make a good product. of course it would all make sense if your like 17 and still in high school, thats all kids talk about is kicker this, audiobahn that, alpine, JL, RF, best buy, circuit city, BS

of course I'm sure you also attended the dbdrag world finals three years in a row, and also hung out at all the local dbdrag comps too

Now now fellers, no need to get on his back about it.

Atvccs450, Audiobahn is simply middle of the road stuff. More of a "All show, no go" type company so to say. Will they work? For the most part. How good and how long will they work? Hard telling, anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple years.

Well, you guys that said Audiobahn and Soundstorm suck, are stupid.. Me and my 19 yr. old friend got it installed in my truck today and it's one awsome system, even he agreed with me.. It hits real good.. He also told me it's probably one of the best bandpass systems he's heard... So anyways, it was definatly worth the money..
stixnpixs, who's your supplier? and what are you runing?
