over powering

I'm putting a system together for my cousin, He's already got an 800Watt audiobahn amp( I know not the best),Just curious if you think giving this sub 800watts RMS at 2ohm would hurt it ' cause its rated at 600RMS?

As long as you watch the gains and he knows what he's doing with the volume ****...

Or else set his gains at a certian volume with a DMM, and set it at around 700 or so watts, and tell him not to turn it up any higher than that.
(use 700 watts in the formula instead of 800, to get your target voltage)
