Changing factory speaker wire?

Changing factory speaker wire?

I plan on upgrading my whole system with new speakers,amp,subwoofer. Should i change the factory wiring. Will i notice a difference. Also how hard is this to do?

It depends on what year your truck is. If its an older body style you can just run it through the rubber boot. If its an 04 and up the boot is a quick disconnect and is difficult to run the wire through. I have heard of it being done in a blank space but I didnt want to take the risk. So I drilled a small hole in the door jam and used rubber gromets to protect the wire. If you are running an amp to the new speakers it makes a big difference in running a good quality wire instead of the light stock wires.
