Brypink! (Or anyone else curious)
I was wondering if you mind sharing the specs / dimensions of your box with us. I'm currently in the process of trying to fabricate my own box, unfortunately I'm terrible at any sort of crafting.

Also noticed your in the Temecula area. I'm a San Diego native attending UCR for college so your south of my college, north of my home.

Maybe if its not too much trouble do you think it would be possible to meet up? I work for Serta mattresses so I'm always going up and down between SD and RS. Trade you a good deal on a mattress for some box building assistance.

Oops! I knew I saw his dimensions posted here, unfortunately I was inquiring about his 10w7 box.

I really don't want to install a seat lift if I don't have too.
Thats the main reason, but thanks for bringing that back up, sure a lot of folks will need it.

If I read you correctly, you were inquiring about the dimensions for his W7 box? It still uses the seat lift. He talked about a box for 8w7's that might work without a lift but, the 10w7 does require a lift. Hope that helps.

Always coming in the clutch Dconder!

Theoretically for his box to fit into a non lifted seat all I have to do is get his previous measurements and drop the entire height by 2.5 or however high his seat lift is?

Hopefully Bryan can chime in soon, getting the dimensions and what not is IMO fairly easy. Putting a box together is not, of course I'm hoping he will allow me to visit his abode with materials in hand and help me build my box because he is such a generous, noble, (Insert brown nosing here ) individual.

Thanks again folks.

I think the problem would still be a height issue. The smallest diameter on the 10W7 is 6.55". That is what JL's website lists as the magnet diameter. I am not sure if you could even slide this sub under the seat with it facing forward without a box. You might could do it but, you are going to have to pull the sub forward, toward the front seats, as far as possible so that only the magnet sits under the seat. And I am not positive if there is enough room even at that. You could measure how much clearance you have now and see. I hope you can get it to work but, it will be a tight fit for sure. Good luck with it.

Da** I dropped the ball again.

Sorry Dconder your information is right on the button as usual. Unfortunately I should have mentioned I was intending for an 8w7 to go in, not the 10. Once again my fault, unfortunately I'm at work at the moment, reviewing orders, so I won't be able to take measurements.

Does anyone have the measurements of the space underneath the rear seat of a 06 Super cab?

I don't mind helping. I don't have the dimensions for the W7 box anymore...although they were roughly close to my current box.

I can tell you this...you will NOT fit 10W7s without a seat lift (if you want them under your rear seat). I think I could get 8W7s to fit...but not positive.

Again, I don't mind helping, I even have about 2/3 to 3/4 sheet of MDF I need to get rid of. The problem is I'm only home on the weekend due to work and my weekends are jammed packed (especially after moving into the new house). I'm sure I could work something out in a few weeks, but probably not until mid April after my so called 3 week vacation to Michigan (sister-in-law's wedding). Also, I need to test my new HOA.

I spoke with one of the designers at JL Audio today and when my truck gets in they are going to look at it and see what we can do for W7's. The guy seems like a great guy and we talked about the new 8" component set coming out as well along with some other brands.
