Affordable EQ.
Affordable EQ.
Can someone please recomend to me and affordable EQ? I want one for when I get all my toys. I would like for it to be half a Din so i can mount it under my alpine. Here is the one I am kinda looking at. Also, I saw one that is supposed to get the "maximum" bass from each woofer. I couldn't find it in the other eq's though, so is it a seperate unit from the eq? Thanks guys and here is the link. I will probably ebay it and dont want to spend much over $150 if i dont have to. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=1266

Your HU doesn't have an EQ?

The Epicenter is for you subs only. Its more to get loud...
AudioControl makes some nice products, but I would bet your HU has at least 5 bands...

Haha, I would be a rich motha---

The Epicenter isnt anything I would waste my money on.
If your going for an external EQ, I would look for something with more flexability that 5 bands is what Im saying, especially since you already have an aftermarket HU that at the very least has a 3 band eq probably.
Depending on the center frequencies of the HUs EQ and the Exteral EQ, you could use them together as an 8 band eq somewhat, however I would just set the EQ on the Hu flat and use the exteral one for all the EQing.
Personally I would be looking for an eq that mounts elsewhere, instead of in the dash. You can generally get a more 'tune-ability' from one of those.
How many RCA outputs are on your HU, and what amps are you using.
Do you have just your front outputs goint to your speaker amp, and sub outputs going to a sub amp, or how is it?
I am running a JBL bp1200 and my second amp will most likely be the zapco 350.2 or and alphasonic. I am running the alpine 9856 and i believe it has 3 sets of pre outs. I am probably NOT going to run rear fills, although i do have a pair of boston coaxils im using in the front right now. I think they would make the rainbows sound worse though.
You can go with the Zapco DC350.2 it has a 10 band parametic eq for each channel. You can change the freqs on each band to whatever you want. Not to mention all the other adjustments you can make with a laptop. That's what I did and love it.

I am getting either Rainbow 265 kicks or Germ's if i can afford em! And for subs most likely 2 Fi SSD 12's powered by a JBL bp1200.. I really want to take out my 60 bench in the rear and get another 40 and take out my center console and run a complete flow through with 2 Tc3000's. And maybe add a 3rd and another amp when i could afford it
