Rl-P or D6

Alright guys, i have narrowed it down to two. I am looking for the best overall SQL woofer with hard hitting bass. My amp is a jbl bp1200.1 and will do a little over 1200@2ohms. Seat lift of course, and my box will be similar to bryan's but tailored for the woofers i choose. Any input is appreciated!

Rlp has the advantage in output, as far as SQ...probably about a tie, MAYBE a little advantage to the D6. I think I would just go with whatever you can get cheapest...

I want a damn Fi Q but dont know if it will fit! It is my sub of choice at this time but it has a 7' mount depth. Can it be accomplished with seat lift and cutout on top of the box? If not i think i will copy bushtree's old box and get some tc3k's cause theyre on sale!

Well, the Mags are 6.75 inches deep, so all you need to do is find another 1/4 of an inch somewhere in Bry box and your in business. Im not sure how much space he has behind his magnet and box either, but you might be able to get your 1/4 inch from there and not have to change a thing...

thats the plan, i wanna use his box but its going to have to be bigger of course. I sent him a pm but he hasn't gotton back to me yet. Patman is helping me with everything. He is trying to devise a way to custom build a seat lift also.

Cool.
If all else fails, just add 1/4 inch to the seat lift and box height.
I believe Bry has the LMI lift which is 2.5 inches...so 2.75 and your good...

Exactly what i was thinking. Good think pat is more creative than me, i'm interested to see how he goes about fabricating these lifts. For once I am actually set on a pair of subs lol no backing out now. Also, waiting on the group buy from don!! Aren't you also wanting to get in on that bartak?

Possibly, depends on prices and what not. I would love to have a set of Profi Kicks, but its probably more than Im wanting to swing right now. At least a different set of tweeters maybe...
Ill probably end up with nothing though.

Haha i know the feeling. The only reason im in is because the parents are buying me comps for my Bday. I just have to provide the amp. Thinking an alphasonic 2 chanel, but who knows. I saw a zapco 350.2 on ebay that was reasonably priced.. Dont want to spend over $250 or so.

The experts over at ca.com told me "if you're only plannin on giving each one 600rms, the ssd's would probably be better...watt to watt, the ssd's probably will sound just as loud and almost as good as the Q's up to 800rms each...its a tad shallower as well..." So it looks like the SSD will be great and cheaper. I know i can clear those easy.

Ahh, lucky you

You should be able to get a 350.2 on ebay for under 250 pretty easy. Especially the older AG models.
What line of components are you thinking of going with?

Yea no kidding, but work has been great lately, more tips than usual. Im kinda leaning towards the SLC line, the 265 kicks. I am having a tough time deciding though.. I would love germ's, but inless they are heavily discounted i dont think that will be an option. Haha the other day my dad told me that stereo's were a waste and i was throwing my money out the window

SLCs are still nice.
Parents are always the hardest to get to, lol just bug them to death till they give in.
Most cant tell a difference between a stock stereo and an all out SQ setup anyway
