It is rated for 300wRMS and my amp is rated for 550wRMS @2 ohms. My sub is a 4ohms DVC and it is wired for 2 ohms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I did miss this. Sorry. I don't think it's bad to run it off of the HU at all. I think this is the only way to run it actually. I would always make better use of amplifier power than to use it on rear fill. My comment is that some people think that rear fill does more harm than good. Especialy from a sound quality standpoint. I don't necessarily have a strong feeling about it either way. What I know is that I would rather have a bit of sound back there than none.

You will not damage the speakers running them off of the HU.

You will damage that sub if you push too much power to it.

I got the 9813 many moons ago and it has been a fine companion for a long time. It's just time to move up in the world. Right now, it is probably the weakest link to my system overall. Well, besides that fact that I am running rear fill.
