factory sub wiring question...XLT???

hEY GUYS,

I have been searching for about an hour can't find an answer, so I figured I would ask the experts. I have a 2006 XLT Supercrew with the Premium sound, 6 disc/mp3, Sirius, head unit. I am thinking about buying a factory audiophile HU and sub. My question... Would the subwoofer harness already be on a XLT truck? I have always heard that the main wiring harness is different on a XLT vs. a FX4 or Lariat.

Thanks,
Rich

OEM Subwoofer and Wiring

I have 2005 FX4--I guarantee that the subwoofer wires (which I found in the radio wiring harness taped and plugged into a dummy plug on the radio wiring harness--easy to find. In 2004s everyone seems to indicate that the subwoofer cable ends underneath the rear seat on the driver's side. Dont believe this and go cutting up your carpet as you become more and more frustrated. Some say in the 2005 the wiring for the sub ends by the emergency brake. I will check that today. If i am unsuccessful i will cut off the plug in the front, buy a plug for the subwoofer and run all wiring under the plastic cover on the rocker panel. Hope you are successful.https://www.f150online.com/forums/im...ilies/lurk.gif
