Crap. Wait, maybe not even that good

Believe it or not, years ago, Pyle Pounders were awesome. No more though. Maybe if they were free....no still would not use them.

THanks for the info! What would you recommend as a starter pair. What about these?
Kicker O5C10 - 4

Those would be fine. I would also look at www.edesignaudio.com. If you hurry, the 11kV2 can be had for $65 each. A great value sub.

QFT!

mw Do you have a budget here? There are speakers and then there are speakers. I myself have already changed subs 3 times.

My goal is to stay around $500 box, subs & amp. May not be reasonable, but that is what I can do. May have to wait a little longer.

That would be tough getting really good stuff for that price. Maybe Kicker or Infinity subs. Or even though the discount is over, you might could go with Elemental subs and amp and buy or make a box. You might could get close with the ED stuff.

Ok. I got the box today and I feel as though I got a steal. The sealed box for two 10's for $50 new. Now I was looking at a pair of Kicker CVR 10's. I could really use some feedback on these.

I paid $55 new for my box that held a pair of 10's. It was a steal. The same things on ebay are going for $90-100. I have not heard a Kicker sub in probably 5 years. It used to be all I used but, I moved on to better things. I think the CompVr are just good, not great, not anything special. If you can get them cheap enough, would probably serve you well.

Well I got a pair new for $100. Now I need to find the amp. You really know your stuff so I am going to ask you this one last question. I was thinking of a Rockford Punch amp. I will be running only the box. What size do I need? The subs say 300RMS each.

What are the ohms on the speaker you bought? 2 or 4? Plus are they dual voice coil?

Also what amp should I look for. I was looking at Infinty & Rockford. Not sure what I need or if I should be looking for another brand.
