Do you need the floor area under the seats from wall to wall or the actual seat bottoms?

3/4 shoot we make our speaker boxes out of 5/8. I've heard of some extreme speaker boxes made from 1" lexan. Have you given fiberglass any consideration or do you just plan to make a clear box?

the box is going to be fiberglassed on the bottom mdf front, sides and back, with a plexi top..... then it'l have a trim ring on top and in front with fiberglass sides to match the seat, and brackets radius, everything will be covered in vinyl or carpet..... kinda like this:

That looks great. Depending on how big your plexi sheet will need to be, I would get as thick as you can to avoid flexing. The 140+ db that you were talking about is some serious pressure

ya I'm going with the 3/4" if I can have a 1/4" fishtank panel 36x16 hold back 40 gallons of water I'm sure 3/4 will do just fine
