Speakers installed today.

Well I got the Jl Audio 10w1v2 installed today. They are powered by the JL Audio 250/1 and it sounds clean and clear. I am however disappointed that what they told me is not what I believe to be true. They demo'd them for me inside the shop and they sounded AWESOME! They said they would sound better in the truck due to the acustics, but I think they hit harder inside the store. They are mounted in a down firing ProBox under the rear seat. It all looks great, but just what I had expected. I'm use to haveing 2 Kicker S10L7 subs in a car powered by a JL Audio 1000/1 though also. As far as SQ though, they sound great for a truck.

Not the hardest hitting sub..

It's like buying a TV in a store. Looks beautiful in their setting with their lighting. Get it to your house in your living room, and all of a sudden it sucks..

New Set up

It doesn't suck by ne means. The SQ is excellent and will be better once I put my Soundstream XTA240.2 on the mids/Highs

I have one 10W1v2 driven by the front channels of my 450/4 (300w bridged) and XR525 conponents up front driven off the rear channels (75w rms). Sounds decent to me. Good SQ.

Man Those sellsmen will always tell you what you wana here just so they can get a sell. Its all about the money. Your better off learning about subs and AMPs and doing it your self.

Salesmen are full of lies. Plus, nothing sounds the same in your vehicle as it does on a soundboard...

Is that box big enough?

Air Space

Rec. Sealed Enclosure: 0.625 cu. ft

Actual from ProBox site: 0.55 cu. ft

This was the box that they had them in and the one they recommended instead of building me a custom one.

with a sealed box you can be WAY off and still get away with it a change in .1 cu ft is only gonna change the gtc of the box slightly.... good news is you need more power before bottoming out now
