I really appreciate your help, but this means nothing to me. Basically, somebody needs to tell me what to do to get the sound that I want. I would like a bit louder and "bassier" than stock, but I do not want (or have the room for) an entire system. If it comes to rebuilding a rearend I have the knowledge and experience, but when it comes to audio, I'm going to need some help. Somebody please just tell me what I need to get and I will get it.

And maybe find you a good shop to put a nice small upgraded system in for you.

Well that's kinda what I've been leaning toward. I guess I'll start looking around for somebody who can do it for a reasonable price. Thanks for your help.

I would also check and make sure those speakers you got from your friend are good. I've used my garage stereo outputs to check a couple of sets before. Your HU may have some issues on the rear outputs as well. Just a thought.
