need subs for a supercrew sound box....

do i get jl audio's or elemental designs?? i dont want to spend a fortune and the Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 looked pretty nice...but which would be better in that box? also do i need to swap out my HU or can i just tap into the factory one...i dont have the upgraded one just the cheap stock radio....im tryin not to spend a fortune on the system...i also have an audiobahn 2400watt amp im going to be using...it always worked well with my 12" subs i have and def has enough power so im just going to mount that behind the seat...do you think i need to use the capacitor as well or no need?...thanks again i really appreciate it

Huge difference in price on JL vs. ED. I have never had JL so I can not say if it is worth the price difference. If you are going ED, hurry. Their forum discounts are ending very soon. Personally, I would go ED unless you find a great deal on JL. But, its hard to beat a pair of 11Kv2 for around $150 shipped. Which JL subs are you looking at? I would consider the Image IDQ as well.

You can run your amp off the head unit. You need either a line out convertor or your amp needs speaker level inputs.

I would not use the cap.

my vote is JL.. i swear by it and its the best selling product at the audio shop i work at. if you dont mind the extra couple bucks, you wont be dissapointed. the w3v3 or v2 are both fantastic subwoofers that run with a semi-low powered amp which will save you money but you already have a pretty beefy amp as is. they also dont require a huge enclosure and they beat like hell!!!! JL all the way. check my gallery for some install pics
