Audiophile Sub Enclosure Sealed?
Audiophile Sub Enclosure Sealed?
The audiophile subwoofer enlcosure is sealed, isn't it? I don't have the audiophile system or I'd look myself. The reason I'm asking this question is I'm putting a single JL Audio 12W3v2 sub and a RF 3002 amp in my 2004 single cab truck next week and I can't decide to go with sealed or slot ported, but I have heard the audiophile sub before and I like the type of bass that it puts out, I just want more of it. I have asked many salemen at stereo shops, and just like on these forums, it is split nearly 50/50. I listen to about 25% rap/hip-hop, 25% country, and 50% alternative/hard rock. So I want something that is going to sound the best with that mix. The room behind the seat isn't an issue, between one sub ported versus sealed. Also, if sealed is the way to go, where would you place it, behind driver seat? Center? Behind passenger seat? Any input will be appreciated.
