I haven't followed car audio for a few years, so I'm way out of the loop on what to get nowadays. I listen to rock more than anything else, but I also listen to a fair amount of rap as well, so I want something that will hit hard but actually sounds decent. I was thinking of going with the dual 12" downfiring box @ musicmooseaudio, but I really don't know what subs or amp work well with that box. I'm looking spending no more than say $700.00 for subs, box, amp. If I can get a good set of components and an amp to power them as well within the budget, that'd be great to, but it's not absolutely necessary.
