sell then upgrade? what to do?

So ive got a couple year old infinity single voice coil standard subs. I heard cruthfield is running a sale on the infinity kappa perfects (buy one get one) anyways they would be about 180 shipped to my door total. and ive got a kid wanting to buy my subs for about 150. Think its worth my time to upgrade to dual voice coil? and probably a more powerful sub? Or should i wait until i find a good deal on the JL 12" W6s i want?

Im running a 1200.1 JBL amp and a panasonic HU with my custom box if that helps anyone. Still need to get some components, but i figured if this kid really wants em... ya know? So what should i do?

would you be sending more power to the perfects? (can they take more power?) are they more sensitive than the old ones? could you achieve a lower final ohm load and still have it stable? if not then wait

If you can upgrade for $30, why not. You can always save for the JL's later.

The Perfects are only rated at 350 watts RMS and your amp will do 600 @ 4 and 1200 @ 2. I would try and get dual 2 ohm subs and end up with a total load at 2 ohm. Just be careful sending the 600 watts to each sub and you should be good. Or you can get dual 4 ohm subs and wire to a 4 ohm load and send 300 to each sub and have nothing to worry about.
