I was searching around for the cheapest 12" L5 i could find and this is by far the best deal. Does anyone know the deal about this being factory renewed and certified? Is it used and broke at one point and then fixed? is it a bad idea to buy one?

probably a recone... all new soft parts. plus it did mention a 90 day warranty.

 

Yes, its been used, and as styx said, probably reconed.

The basket and magnet are old/used and could have some cosmetic blemishes depending on how well the previous owner took care of it, but everything else is new.

I dont see any reason to be worried about it, unless you are wanting mint condition stuff. Plus, as styx said-90 day warantee.

since im on a budget i was thinking about the lanzar 1600 watt amp. is this to much power, i know its not the best choice for an amp, but it has lots of power for a little price.

I was thinking of the same thing but I want the L7's cheapest they have those are 150 still a very good deal. i'll be ordering a pair soon. I have a 1300rms@2ohm amp on my L7's sounded great till they blew. (took 5 years to blow them)
